Giant Clams Sanctuary
Continue onward to the village of Savaia, Lefaga, home to the renowned Giant Clams Sanctuary. After a short orientation, step down a small set of stairs and wade into the water where enormous, vividly colored clams rest just below the surface. Few places in the world allow you to swim directly above such rare marine wonders, making this a truly memorable encounter. Please note that sunscreen is not permitted in the sanctuary to protect the marine environment.
Siumu Village & Lunch
Following your time at the sanctuary, travel to Siumu Village for a warm Samoan welcome. Enjoy a delicious local buffet-style lunch featuring fresh fish, chicken, island vegetables, fruits, and traditional staples such as taro, banana, or breadfruit. Experience village hospitality with light entertainment, cultural insights, and the opportunity to refresh yourself with a swim in the cool village pool. Fresh coconut water and bottled water are available throughout the day.

Please note: This tour requires a moderate level of activity, as guests will need to navigate several steps and walk over sandy and uneven terrain, particularly at the Giant Clams Sanctuary. The tour is not wheelchair accessible, and guests with limited mobility should be comfortable boarding a coach, managing steps, and walking short distances. Access into the water at the Giant Clams Sanctuary is via a small set of steps. Tide conditions may affect the experience; during low tide, it may not be possible to swim out to the clams. To protect the marine environment, the use of sunscreen is strictly prohibited while at the sanctuary.
Swimming opportunities are available both at the sanctuary (depending on tide levels) and at Siumu Village’s freshwater pool. Snorkeling gear is not provided, so guests wishing to snorkel must bring their own equipment. Restroom facilities are available at both the clams site and the village. Please be aware that Samoan public holidays, Sundays, or special village events may affect tour operations. Transportation is provided by an air-conditioned Coaster bus that does not support wheelchair access
