Excursion Gula leden hiking tour at Örnsköldsvik

Take an unforgettable hike along the High Coast, which has the highest coastline anywhere in the world. The land slowly began to rise from the sea when the ice melted, 10,000 years ago and continues to rise almost 1 cm per year. This is a unique phenomenon and is why UNESCO designated the High Coast as a World Heritage Site.

Your trip begins with a short panoramic bus tour around Örnsköldsvik. Then hike with a guide to the top of Mount Åsberget for a magnificent view over the city. Your walk takes you up the south side of the mountain for about 3.5 km (2 miles) through forests and open mountain areas. At one of the rest stops take your time to enjoy a moment of Swedish Fika (loosely defined as a coffee break).

After the hike return by bus to the pier.
