Excursion Harrison's cave and flower forest tour at Bridgetown

Cruise line: Silversea
Difficulty:

Discover the amazing natural splendour of Barbados from above-and-below-ground during this scenic, half-day sightseeing excursion.

Harrison's Cave, Stalactites, Stalagmites, Waterfalls, and Emerald Pools

Depart the pier for the scenic, approximately 40-minute drive past the residences of the Governor General and Prime Minister en route to the parish of St. Thomas, and a visit to Harrison's Cave. Upon arrival, board a tram for a guided tour of this unique natural phenomenon. Along the way, marvel at an amazing gallery of stalactites hanging from the roof of the cave, stalagmites that emerge from the ground, and streams of crystal-clear running water cascading from breath-taking waterfalls to deep emerald pools below. The stalactites and stalagmites were formed over thousands of years, and, in some areas, the stalactites and stalagmites merge to form spectacular pillars.

Flower Forest and Endemic Flora

Leaving Harrison's Cave, re-board your coach and proceed to the Flower Forest for a guided walking tour. Upon arrival, stroll along a winding path through the magnificent forest, and explore splendid, colourful species of diverse plants, trees and flowers. At the conclusion of your visit, re-board your coach and commence the approximately 45-minute drive back to the pier.
