Experience glorious Norwegian fjord country on a hike to the top of Skålafjell, offering magnificent views over the surrounding community, mountains and Hardangerfjord region.
This hike takes you from the center of Rosendal along a gravel road and a well-maintained path to the top of nearby Skålafjell. Enroute you will pass the large Navarhaug cairn - erected in 2001 to commemorate Rosendal Turnlag’s (hiking team) 100th anniversary. Skålafjell is home to a diverse range of flora and fauna including wildflowers, moss and lichens. With some luck you may also encounter various bird species and small mammals. At the mountain top, admire spectacular 360-degree views of mountains, valleys, ocean and fjord in the breathtakingly beautiful Hardangerfjord region.
More specific information and logistics will be communicated by the Expedition Leader on board.
