Excursion Hiking with huskies tour at Tromsoe

Drive to the Tromsø Wilderness Camp and meet 100+ Alaskan huskies. Tove Sørensen has made her mark in the world of sled racing, as Sørensen regularly participates in the Finnmark Race with the friendly dogs that you will meet.

After a short introduction, commence your hike together with some of the most top trained dogs, which are only too eager to accompany you. This invigorating hike takes you into the spectacular northern Norwegian nature where you will have great views of the captivating fjords and mountains surrounding Tromsø. Although everyone will have the opportunity to walk with a husky, the huskies will be shared, as they are very energetic and can be exhausting.

Back at the Wilderness Camp, you will be treated to a hot beverage and a snack before it's time to say goodbye to the huskies.

Please note: This tour includes 2 to 5 km (1.3-3.1 mile) hike rated as medium level over uneven and wet terrain with duration of approximately 1.5 to 2 hours depending on the group and weather conditions. It is recommended guests are in good physical condition which makes this tour not suitable for guests with limited mobility. We recommend guests to wear warm and layered clothing, comfortable walking shoes and bring with you an extra pair of socks, as your clothing may get wet or dirty along the hike. Rain boots are provided at the center. Everyone will have the opportunity to walk with a husky however, 1 husky is shared amongst 3-4 people. Please be advised that a minimum number of participants is required for this program to operate. Space on this tour is limited; we suggest you book well in advance to avoid disappointment.
