Excursion Hiking with silversea expedition team tour at Bazaruto Island

Today we offer a Strenuous/Active Hike through the interior of this beautiful island in search of local bird life and to admire the plant life of the interior as well as the coastline. Temperatures and humidity on this hike can get quite high, so take along enough water and dress light. Your Expedition Guide will share knowledge of Lesser Crested Turns, Crab plovers, Terek Sandpipers and other bird species that may frequent the Island.

Activity Level and Duration of this activity are approximate. More specific information and logistic details will be communicated by the Expedition Leader on board. This activity is not suitable for guests with limited mobility or guests who use a wheelchair. Guests with balance limitations (even slight) are advised to bring along walking poles to assist on slippery and uneven surfaces while hiking. Hikes will be offered in various degrees of difficulty and in order to avoid injury guests are advised to be honest with themselves regarding their abilities when deciding which hikes to participate in. Hikes will go through different types of terrains that may be wet, muddy, rocky, sandy, icy. Hike will take place in different types of weather conditions and therefore guests must be ready with appropriate clothing and footwear. We recommend you bring your filled Silversea drinking bottle to remain hydrated during the outing, as well as your Silversea backpack to carry your essential items. It is recommended to have electronic equipment sealed in waterproof bags, in case of rain or spray.
