Itajaí, Atlântica Avenue, Balneário Camboriú Resort, Brava Beach

Depart the pier for a scenic sightseeing drive through Itajaí, which lies at the mouth of the Itajaí River. Founded in 1860, the city is home to the largest fishing port and university in Brazil. Proceed along Atlântica Avenue, past the extensive beach and tourist facilities of Balneário Camboriú, then continue on to Brava Beach, one of the most beautiful beaches in Itajaí. After a photo stop here, re-board your coach and head to the Itajaí Cathedral.

Brava Beach

One of the most attractive beaches in the region. Located between Itajaí and Balneário Camboriú, is one of the most attractive beaches in the region.Known for its natural beauties and the open sea waters. You will taste açaí, a fruit native to the Brazilian Amazon and is recognized as a 'superfruit' for its antioxidant and anti-inflammatory potential. You will try it the way it is consumed by the locals.

Itajaí Cathedral, Towers, Stained Glass, Immaculate Conception Panel, Moses Statue

Upon arrival, take a guided tour of the Cathedral of the Blessed Sacrament. Built in 1940, the Cathedral is currently the biggest artistic and cultural monument of the city. It features romantic elements and paintings of Italian artists Emilio Cease and Aldo Locatelli, along with six towers, 55 stained glass Biblical motifs, a panel of the Immaculate Conception of the Virgin Mary in the roof, and a statue of Moses descending from Mount Sinai.

Balneário Camboriú

The city is the Tourism Capital of Santa Catarina, due to the tourist facilities, beautiful beach, infrastructure and diversity of hotels. On the way back to the pier, you will visit the viewpoint on the Barra Sul footbridge that leads to the Barra neighborhood, the oldest in the city, a contrast between the past and the present. You will see the first church in the city, the Capela de Santo Amaro (outside), built between 1849 and 1863 in colonial style, with stone and mortar based on whale oil. Return to the pier.
