Excursion La digue’s best kept secrets: anse marron to anse coco walk tour at Praslin

Cruise line: Silversea
Difficulty:

Go on a discovery of La Digue's best kept secrets: Anse Marron and Anse Coco.

Jump onto a bike and soak in the scenic charm of this small island, as you make your way to Grand Anse Beach. From there, start your walk on the path to Anse Marron, on the southernmost tip of La Digue. The golden sands, stunning granite boulders ruggedly carved by the elements of nature, certainly give this beach an extraordinarily scenic appearance. There is no coral reef in this area making it unsafe for swimming, however the protected saltwater pools offer a great alternative for a dip in the warm Indian Ocean waters. Continue your walk, pass Petit Anse beach, and proceed to Anse Coco. This walk is a thrilling experience, with some splendid viewpoints over the beach and the blue waters. During the walk, you might be lucky enough to catch a glimpse of the rare Paradise flycatcher that roams this area.

Note

Please note: This walk is suitable for physically fit guests only, who are able to bike and walk for approximately 5 km (over 3 miles) on natural, uneven terrain. The path can be challenging and slippery. Guests are recommended to wear walking shoes, and comfortable, light clothes over a swimming suit. Bring sunscreen and a towel from the ship.
