Excursion Mousa island hike tour at Lerwick

Visit the fascinating Island of Mousa, an uninhabited sanctuary filled with ancient history. In addition to the abundant wildlife, Mousa is also home to Mousa Broch, an impressive Iron Age fortress tower which stands 13m in height and is the best preserved of its type.

Please note: This excursion is not suitable for individuals with walking difficulties, as it requires a 3-mile (4.8 km) walk to Mousa Broch on uneven, rocky ground. Warm layered clothing and comfortable footwear are recommended. Please be advised that it can be windy on the boat ride as well as on the island.
