Explore Mount Tatt in a unique new way during this unforgettable excursion inside the Bergtatt Caves.
Molde, Eide, Mount Tatt, Bergtatt Caves, Movie Presentation
Depart the pier for the scenic, approximately 30-minute drive towards Eide, and a visit to the marble caves of Mount Tatt. Upon arrival at the marble caves of Bergtatt, meet your guides and receive your safety instructions. Next, don your helmet and inflatable vest, and begin your guided cave exploration. Depending on how many guests join the tour, one group explores the cave first, whilst the other group enjoys a movie presentation. Inside the caves, the temperature is always 42.8 degrees Fahrenheit (about six degrees Celsius), regardless of the outside temperature.
Cave Walk and Rafting, Water Tasting, Arkadene, Colourful Lighted Tunnels
During your guided walking tour, learn about the quarry drift past-and-present. Afterward, embark wooden rafts for a ride on 50-million litres of crystal-clear water beneath you, and proceed further into the mountain through scenically lighted tunnels. As you journey into the 'trolls' world', take an opportunity to taste the water. Further inside, a visit is made to 'Arkadene', a series of caves illuminated in different colours and a joy to behold amidst this unique, silent atmosphere.
Mount Varden
At the conclusion of your visit, re-board your coach and commence the approximately 1.5 hour scenic drive up to Mount Varden, an excellent viewpoint overlooking the charming town of Molde. Upon arrival at the Varden Viewpoint, take in spectacular panoramic vistas of the 222 white peaks of the Romsdal Alps, the tranquil fjord and its islands.
Your tour will conclude with a short drive back to the pier.

Please note: This tour involves a moderate amount of walking for approximately 547 yards (about 900 metres), at times over uneven surfaces, with a few steps to negotiate to get on/off the coach and embark/disembark the rafts, and inside the caves. This tour is not suitable for guests suffering from claustrophobia, guests with limited mobility and guests who utilise a wheelchair. Guests are advised to wear warm, comfortable clothing in layers with flat, closed-toe walking shoes, and bring sun protection and a weatherproof jacket from the ship. Guests must be at least eight years old to participate on this tour; minors must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. The tour sequence may vary. Temperature inside the cave is approximately 6 degrees Celsius.
