Cruise line: SilverseaDifficulty:
This full day tour journeys from the pier into the UNESCO-listed Douro Valley for an elegant visit to Quinta da Pacheca.
Douro Valley, Quinta da Pacheca, Flamour Program
Depart from the pier and travel by mini-coach/coach on a 2-hour drive into the Douro Valley, where terraced vineyards step down toward the river. On arrival at Quinta da Pacheca, you’re welcomed into the estate’s signature Flamour program—an unhurried immersion in Douro wine culture that blends authenticity with comfort.
Port Wine Blending, Vineyard Walk
Begin with a Port Wine Blending experience, guided by the estate team, to explore aromatics, structure, and balance as you learn how different components shape the final style in the glass. Continue with a gentle vineyard walk among the schist terraces to understand terroir and cultivation practices that define Douro wines.
Lunch in the Vineyards
Take your seat for a distinctive “on-fire” lunch, where premium ingredients are cooked over open flame using time-honored techniques. Courses are paired with Pacheca Reserve White, Pacheca Reserve Red Old Vines, and a finale of Pacheca 30-Year Tawny Port, with soft drinks and water also available. Expect bold, authentic flavors presented with polished service in a serene vineyard setting.
After a final moment to savor the landscape, rejoin the coach for the 2-hour drive back to the pier, concluding a day of Douro elegance and estate hospitality.
