Excursion Patmos through the lens tour at Patmos
Cruise line: SilverseaDifficulty:
This half day tour is a curated, small-group photographic journey across southern Patmos.
Grotto of the Apocalypse, Chora’s Windmills
Depart from the pier and set out by minibus on a short drive toward the Grotto of the Apocalypse area, where your guide outlines composition tips for capturing devotional sites and hillside perspectives. Continue with a brief drive up to Chora for a guided wander through maze-like lanes, arched passageways, and vantage points by the windmills, working with light, texture, and architectural geometry against far-reaching sea views.
Diakofti Shipyard, Petra Rock Formation, St. Nikolaos Seaside Chapel
Travel on a short drive down to Diakofti shipyard, where weathered timbers, hulls in dry dock, and the waterfront backdrop provide strong lines and detail studies; here you pause at a local café. Another brief brings you to Petra Rock Formation to experiment with scale and minimalism against sea and sky, before a final short transfer to the seaside chapel of St. Nikolaos in Sapsila, a serene cove setting ideal for coastal compositions and closing shots. Conclude with a short drive back to the pier.
