Excursion Pedra do telegrafo hike tour at Rio de Janeiro

Cruise line: Silversea
Difficulty:

Enjoy the coastal highlights and charms of Rio on this beachy tour featuring sweeping panoramic views. Begin with a transfer from the pier along the beaches of Rio through the beach-dwelling, coastal neighborhood of Barra Guaratiba. Aboard your jeep vehicle, drive along the beaches of Copacabana, Ipanema, Leblon, Barra da Tijuca, Recreio and Pontal reaching Barra de Guaratiba.

Take a 2km walking tour beginning at Barra de Guaratiba, walking to Pedra do Telégrafo with photo stop at Pedra da Bigorna, a favorite place for taking silly and dramatic photos at a rocky point that appears from some angles to be suspended over the ocean, but safely rests above steady ground.

Walk back to the jeeps at Barra de Guaratiba and transfer to Grumari beach, taking time to relax before lunch at the restaurant Point do Grumari, offering an amazing view over Marambaia Sandbank.

After lunch transfer one hour back to the pier, enjoying once again those stunning beach views.

Note

Please note: This tour involves a moderate amount of walking. Long lines at the Corcovado Train Station might be expected; your patience is appreciated. Be aware that occasionally the mountain is frequently enshrouded in clouds, which may affect views of the city. It is recommended that guests wear flat, comfortable shoes. Please be aware that tour duration could be affected by traffic and the order of sights visited may vary.
