This exclusive tour invites you to immerse yourself in the world of sustainable food and organic farming through a deeply enriching farm-to-table experience, created in collaboration between culinary project Ostra da Terra and organic farm Campo Escondido.

Campo Escondido Organic Farm, Meet Chef Jose, Guided Tour and Harvest

Your day begins at Campo Escondido, an organic farm and cultural space where nature and creativity meet. Upon arrival, you’ll be welcomed with a refreshing drink and introduced to the experience by your host and chef, José—a passionate forager, fisherman, and founder of the Ostra da Terra project, who harvests, (spear)fishes, and dives for most of the ingredients he cooks with. His deep connection with the land and the sea is reflected in every dish he creates, inspired by edible wild mushrooms and organically grown produce.

The experience unfolds with a guided tour of the farm. Wander through the human-scale gardens and learn about sustainable seasonal agriculture, composting, biodiversity, and other environmentally conscious practices. Guests are invited to harvest vegetables and edible wildflowers that will be part of the day’s menu, deepening the connection between the land and the plate.

Communal Table, 4-Course Lunch, Organic Mushrooms, Wines, Relax

Following the tour, take your seat at the communal table and indulge in a thoughtfully curated multi-course lunch, crafted entirely from freshly harvested ingredients and Chef José’s organic mushroom production. The menu includes an organic couvert, two starters, a main course, and dessert, each dish paired with carefully selected wines or non-alcoholic alternatives like artisanal kombucha and fresh juices. As each course is served, the chef will introduce the ingredients and tell the story behind the flavors, highlighting the importance of sustainable and transparent sourcing.

After lunch, relax and enjoy the peaceful rural atmosphere, explore the grounds at your own pace, or network with fellow guests. Before departure, you'll also have the opportunity to purchase exclusive local products crafted by the Ostra da Terra project — a perfect way to take a piece of this special experience home.

At the conclusion of this S.A.L.T. Experience, the coach will head to Lisbon "Humberto Delgado" Airport for guests having a flight and guests who are in transit to the next cruise, before continuing on to the Silversea Hotel.

Please note: This S.A.L.T. Program tour involves a moderate amount of walking of approximately 900 metres, sometimes over hilly, uneven, natural and unpaved surfaces, with a few steps to negotiate to get on/off the coach and approximately 20 at the Venue. Walking around the Estate is then at leisure for guests. Guests are advised to wear seasonal, comfortable clothing with flat, closed-toe walking shoes, sunscreen, hat, sunglasses.
