Enjoy an enriching full-day tour from the pier, setting off to discover the profound spiritual heritage and stunning natural landscapes of the Ise-Shima region. Depart from the pier for an approximate 40-minute drive to Ise Grand Shrine (Geku).

Ise Grand Shrine

Begin your journey at Ise Grand Shrine (Geku), dedicated to Toyouke-Omikami, the deity of food, industry, and shelter. Walk along ancient stone paths, shaded by towering cedar trees, and absorb the calm, sacred atmosphere of this revered Shinto sanctuary. The elegant wooden structures, built in traditional Japanese architectural style, reflect centuries of spiritual devotion.

Ise Grand Shrine

Continue with a 15-minute transfer to Ise Grand Shrine (Naiku), the most sacred site in Japan and home to the Sun Goddess Amaterasu-Omikami. Stroll through the serene grounds along the Isuzu River, admiring the purity and simplicity of the shrine’s architecture. This deeply spiritual setting invites quiet contemplation and appreciation of Japan’s ancient traditions.

Okage Yokocho

From Naiku, explore Okage Yokocho, a charming Edo-period style district lined with traditional shops, craft boutiques, and food stalls. Enjoy free time to browse for regional specialties, sample local delicacies, or simply take in the lively atmosphere of this beautifully preserved cultural street.

Afterward, travel 30 minutes to a local restaurant to enjoy an authentic Japanese Kaiseki lunch, accompanied by two beverages of your choice (beer, sake, or soft drinks). Seasonal dishes showcase the refined flavors of the region in an elegant and relaxing setting.

Kashikojima

Continue with a 60-minute drive to Kashikojima, where you will board the Kashikojima Pleasure Boat for a scenic cruise across Ago Bay. Glide across tranquil waters surrounded by countless forested islets and enjoy beautiful coastal views while learning about the region’s renowned pearl-cultivation heritage. Seasonal variations in the landscape make this cruise a memorable highlight of the day.

The tour ends with approximately 45-minute drive back to the ship.

Please Note: his tour involves approximately 3.2 km (2.0 miles) of walking over paved and cobblestone surfaces, with several steps throughout, especially at both Geku and Naiku Shrines. This excursion is not suitable for wheelchair users or guests with limited mobility, and no accessible vehicles or step-free options are available. Photography is restricted in certain areas of Ise Shrine. Guests may be asked to remove their shoes at the lunch venue depending on the size of the group. Local guides may have a strong accent; flexibility is appreciated. The cruise boat at Kashikojima is not accessible by wheelchairs. Guests should bring local cash for personal purchases. Lightweight, comfortable clothing, flat closed-toe walking shoes, and sun protection are strongly recommended. Please avoid revealing clothing at Ise Grand Shrine.
