Depart from monaco, along the Sub Alpine Mountains to reach the village of Sainte Agnes: with its breathtaking panorama, Saint Agnes has earned its nickname" balcony of the Cote Azur": At an altitude of 800 meters ,hung on the hills, the medieval village offers the most impressive point of view of the Cote Azur: the Big Blue in front Menton below, the coastline as far as the eye can see and to complete this 360° panoramic view, the beginning of the Alpine arc.

Fort Maginot, Refreshments

Enjoy an inside visit of its massive Fort to get all secrets of WW1 and Maginot Line. The Fort is an underground city dug under the village. The building is equivalent to a four-storey building embedded in the hill. Built between 1932 and 1938, it contained the greatest artillery power of the Maginot Line.

Walk through Saint Agnes photogenic, ancient streets and then You will be served a fresh homemade tart with soft drinks on a terrace with a stunning view.

Make the return 1-hour scenic drive back down the hills and mountains to return to the ship.

Please note: This tour involves an extensive amount of walking (1.5 km), including a change of 50 m in altitude and uneven cobblestone and unpaved terrain, making this tour less appropriate for guests with walking difficulties; this tour is not accessible for wheelchairs. There are steep inclined streets in Saint Agnes. The temperature remains cold into the Saint Agnes fortress, dressing warmly is HIGHLY recommended and comfortable, flat shoes is suggested. Please expect also  some sun exposure. Children as young as 10 may participate; all children must be accompanied by an adult (please note long coach drive). Guest prone to motion sickness may not find this tour suitable due to curvy village roads traveled by coach. Guests must be able to board and exit the coach on their own. Space on this tour is limited; we suggest you book well in advance to avoid disappointment.
