Travel across the Isle of Lewis to the parish of Ness and to the charming little harbour of Port of Ness. For generations Ness has been home to many seafarers which are celebrated in the work of local artists. Enjoy some free time around the harbour area and visit the Harbour View Gallery to admire some of the art pieces.
Continue to the ancient St Moluag church, one of the most mysterious sites on the Isle of Lewis. This church has a plethora of legends and beliefs associated with it, take time to explore before returning to the coach to travel to the Butt of Lewis Lighthouse.
The Lighthouse is set in a stunning location, built in 1862 by the Stevenson brothers and unlike many other Scottish lighthouses is built from red brick. Enjoy some time to photograph the exterior of the lighthouse and immerse yourself in the lovely views out to sea. This area is also notable for being the windiest place in the United Kingdom, so much so that it achieved a mention in the Guinness Book of Records!
