Visit the historic Thorarinsstadir archaeological site, where excavations uncovered a stave church and graveyard dating back to Iceland’s early settlement. Explore the Skalanes House, a research and education center set in a stunning, remote location near Seydisfjordur. Optional: enjoy a half-mile hike to the coastal cliffs, offering spectacular views of the surrounding landscape and seabird colonies, before returning to the port.

Please note: A moderate amount of walking for approximately 1 km (0.62) miles at times over uneven, unpaved, earthy ground with slight inline and a few steps. Off-road driving over bumpy and uneven natural surfaces and inclines, with a few steps to negotiate to get on/off the 4x4 off-road vehicle. The ride may be rough at times, and guests will experience bumpy, jerking motions. This tour is not suitable for pregnant guests, guests with neck/back problems, guests with heart/respiratory conditions, or guests with limited mobility. Warm, layered clothing appropriate to the local weather (including rainproof outerwear) and comfortable walking shoes are recommended.
