Inside the café, relax over your first tasting: a hot coffee or tea paired with a small pastry—an inviting introduction to PEI’s warm hospitality.

Olde Dublin Pub, PEI Mussels

Next, a 15-minute stroll brings you to the Olde Dublin Pub, where you’ll enter into a lively local favorite. Here, enjoy a bowl of steamed PEI mussels (a local staple) paired with drinks. Your guide will share insights into the island’s mussel industry as you experience one of PEI’s signature flavors.

The Chip Shack, PEI Hand-cut Fries

From the pub, continue on a 20-minute walk to The Chip Shack, located on a floating wharf. Here you’ll sample freshly made PEI hand-cut fries, a beloved treat showcasing the island’s world-famous potatoes. The relaxed waterfront setting offers a fun and casual moment to take in the harbor views.

MacKinnon’s, Lobster on the Wharf

Your final tasting is just a 10-minute walk away at MacKinnon’s followed by Lobster on the Wharf (same building), where you will enjoy a raw oyster on the half shell and a mini lobster slider—two essential island delicacies that highlight PEI’s rich maritime heritage.

After this final tasting, a short 5-minute walk returns you to the pier, completing your flavorful exploration of Charlottetown.

Please Note: This tour involves a moderate amount of walking of approximately 1.55 miles (2.5 km) completed intermittently over the course of the experience, with approximately 30 steps required in total—most notably a staircase of about 25 steps at the Olde Dublin Pub. Not all venues on this tour are wheelchair accessible, and some do not offer ramp or elevator access. For this reason, the tour is not recommended for guests with mobility limitations or for those who require mobility aids such as wheelchairs or scooters. Comfortable, non-slip walking footwear is essential, and guests should be prepared for varying sidewalk surfaces, including concrete, boardwalk sections, and occasional uneven ground. The tour runs rain or shine, and participants should dress appropriately for local weather conditions. Food tastings include shellfish and other allergens, and any dietary needs must be communicated in advance; substitutions will be provided where possible. Alcoholic beverages are served at select locations, and guests must be 19+ with valid photo ID to consume alcohol; non-alcoholic options are available. Photography is welcome, though guests should always be respectful of staff and others who may not wish to be photographed.
