Excursion Terceira highlights: serra do cume, angra & biscoitos tour at Angra do Heroísmo

Departing the pier, we head to Serra do Cume, where breathtaking views extend over Lajes and the Atlantic Ocean. Next, we proceed to Biscoitos on the northern coast of the island, making a brief stop at the impressive natural lava swimming pools.

Following this, we visit the Biscoitos Wine Museum, allowing time to taste local wines before we pass by Pico da Bagacinha and the expansive volcanic basin of Caldeira de Guilherme Moniz. The tour continues to Angra do Heroísmo, with a stop at the top of Monte Brasil for stunning views of the city and its surroundings. We then partake in a guided walk lasting about one hour through the historic city center, followed by lunch at a premier hotel in Angra.

The return journey to Praia da Vitória takes the picturesque southern route, passing through the villages of Ribeirinha and São Sebastião.
