Depart the pier for the scenic, approximately 30-minute drive to the Tjibaou Cultural Centre. The Cultural Centre, designed by Renzo Piano, is a harmonious blend of traditional and modern indigenous New Caledonian (Kanak) architecture.

Guided Stroll, Melanesian Huts, Exhibition Rooms

During a guided stroll you will hear fascinating tales of Kanak myths and folklore Walk through the shaded, flora-lined Kanak pathway leading to three different traditional Melanesian huts from the three New Caledonia provinces. Back within the main area, your guide introduces the various exhibition rooms housing precious ritual masks, costumes, totem poles and sculptures, all of an exceptional standard. At the conclusion of your visit, re-board your coach and commence the approximately 30-minute drive back to the pier.
