Scenic Drive through Athens

Start your tour by meeting your tour private guide and your accessible van at the pier. Set out on comfortable approximately 30-minute drive to Athens and begin your sightseeing tour of the city. Pass by the Olympic Stadium, home of the first modern-day Olympic Games in 1896, the former Royal Palace at Constitution Square and Syntagma Square, home of the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. After seeing these and other ancient and contemporary sites, proceed to the Acropolis.

Acropolis

The monuments of the Acropolis have withstood the ravages of history, from the ancient times to the Middle Ages, and offers an impressive setting to unveil. Escorted by your tour guide, you will explore the most accessible routes of the fascinating site, and you will also have a unique opportunity to get to the very top of the Acropolis. Enjoy the spectacular views of the Parthenon, Propylaea and Erechtheion.

After visiting the Acropolis, your tour continues to the impressive Museum of Acropolis. Please note: This tour involves a minimal amount of walking and is specially designed for guests with limited mobility and guests who utilise a wheelchair or a scooter. Full-time wheelchair users are kindly requested to contact shoreconcierge@silversea.com in order to provide further details and determine if the tour is suitable for them. The tour route avoids steps and stairs. Lightweight, comfortable clothing with flat, closed-toe walking shoes and sun protection are recommended. An accessible vehicle with a wheelchair lift or ramp will be used for transportation. Guides are not allowed to push wheelchairs. Power and electric wheelchairs as well as mobility scooters are not allowed on the elevator. You must be able and willing to transfer to a manual wheelchair to use the elevator. One companion may accompany you on the lift. For fast-track access to the lift, please bring your proof of disability. Should the lift be out of service due to mechanical issues on the day of your visit, it will not be possible to reach the top. Your tour guide will instead take you to the Temple of Olympian Zeus. Participation is limited to 2 guests. Only one person in the party needs to reserve this program.
