Indulge your senses with the stunning natural splendour of Atalaia Park during this scenic and invigorating, half-day hiking excursion.

Itajaí, Atalaia Park, Guided Hike, Agua & Ar Viewpoints

Depart the pier for the scenic, approximately 45-minute drive to Atalaia Park, one of the environmental conservation units of Itajaí dedicated to protecting water resources, biodiversity, and the ecosystem. Upon arrival at the park’s entrance, take a guided, approximately 1.86-mile (about three-kilometre) hike through the park along a dirt trail. Your route begins with approximately 1,968 feet (about 600 metres) of moderate ascent, split into two paths. The left path takes you to the Água Viewpoint, and the right path to the Ar Viewpoint.

Abundant and Diverse Flora, Fauna & Bird Species, Lesser Anteaters, Opossums, Wildcats, Cotias

In addition to breath-taking panoramic vistas overlooking the park and city, discover an abundance of diverse flora and fauna. Among the flora found in the Atalaia hills, approximately 96 species distributed among 37 botanical families are represented. The fauna is also quite diverse, including approximately 130 species of birds belonging to 37 families, along with reptiles, amphibians, and mammals such as the lesser anteater, opossum, wildcat, and cotia. Water and snacks are provided. At the conclusion of your tour, re-board your coach and commence the approximately 45-minute drive back to the pier.

Please note: This tour involves an extensive amount of hiking for approximately 1.86 miles (about three kilometres), at times over uneven, rocky, slippery, and natural surfaces and moderate inclines, with a few steps to negotiate to get on/off the coach. This tour is recommended for active guests in good physical condition. This tour is not suitable for pregnant guests, guests with back and/or neck problems, guests with heart and/or respiratory conditions, guests with a fear of heights, guests with limited mobility, and guests who utilise a wheelchair. Guests are advised to wear lightweight, comfortable sportswear with flat, sturdy, non-slip, and closed-toe hiking shoes, and bring sun protection, insect repellent, raingear, a towel, bottled water, and local currency or credit cards for purchases from the ship. Minors must be accompanied by a parent or guardian over 18 years old. Although frequently encountered on this type of tour, wildlife sightings are not guaranteed. A signed waiver is required to participate on this tour. Operation of this tour is subject to weather conditions. The tour sequence may vary.
