Excursion Ulvik cider tasting tour at Eidfjord

Savour the exquisite scenery and flavours of Eidfjord during this picturesque, half-day excursion to the Hardanger Juice & Cider Factory.

Depart the pier for the scenic, approximately one-hour drive to Ulvik Village. En route, your route takes you along the fjord and over the spectacular new Hardanger Bridge, followed by a short photo stop in Vallavik. Upon arrival at Ulvik, a small community of approximately 650 inhabitants, discover why the village is famous for its cultivation of various fruits, including apples, during a visit to the Hardanger Juice & Cider Factory.

The Hardanger Juice & Cider Factory is situated on Lekve Farm, which is located in the hills above Ulvik and offers a beautiful view of the fjord below. During your visit, take a guided tour of the small factory and learn about the production of juice, cider and apple brandy. Following your tour, proceed for a tasting of some of their ciders. At the conclusion of your visit, re-board your coach and commence the approximately two-hour drive back to the pier, with panoramic photo stops en route.

Please note: This tour involves a moderate amount of walking for approximately 547 yards (about 500 metres), at times over uneven and natural surfaces, with a few steps to negotiate to get on/off the coach and at the cider farm. This tour is not suitable for guests with a fear of heights, guests prone to motion sickness, guests with limited mobility and guests who utilise a wheelchair. Guests are advised to wear warm, comfortable clothing in layers with flat, closed-toe walking shoes, and bring sun protection, bottled water and a weatherproof jacket from the ship. Guests must be at least 18 years old to participate in tastings of alcoholic beverages. The drive between the pier and farm is approximately one-hour, with an approximately two-hour return drive (photo stops en route). The tour sequence may vary. Space on this tour is very limited; we suggest you book in advance to avoid disappointment.
