Victoria, Horse-Drawn Trolley Tour

Depart the pier on-foot for the short walk to the horse-drawn trolley staging area. Upon arrival, receive your riding and tour instructions, then step into your awaiting, horse-drawn trolley and commence your guided, approximately one-hour sightseeing tour of Victoria. The trolleys, which have become synonymous with Victoria, are drawn by two magnificent draught horses who know the route almost as well as your guide.

James Bay, Inner-Harbour, Royal BC Museum, Robert Bateman Centre, Fairmont Empress Hotel

Journey back in time to experience Victoria as people did when Queen Victoria reigned over the British Empire. Along the way, discover the iconic sites and breath-taking views of the city from the comfort of your horse-drawn trolley. Your tour begins at the Ogden Point Pier, winds through the historic neighbourhood of James Bay and then into Victoria’s famed Inner-Harbour, home to the Royal BC Museum and the iconic Fairmont Empress Hotel. Additional sites to be seen include the scenic Dallas Road waterfront and Emily Carr House.

BC Legislative Buildings

If your tour takes place during the evening hours, you’re sure to be dazzled by the thousands of lights that line British Columbia’s stately Legislative Buildings, which were designed by famed, British-born architect, Francis Rattenbury. Your horse-drawn trolley offers blankets to keep you warm in the event of a cool evening breeze, and the passenger area is covered to provide protection in the unlikely event of a shower. Your sightseeing tour of Victoria concludes back at the horse-drawn trolley staging area. Upon arrival, de-board your horse-drawn trolley and commence the short walk back to the ship.
