Skyrail Rainforest Cableway, Tropical rainforest canopy views

Depart from the pier in Cairns and enjoy a scenic drive of approximately 45 minutes in a comfortable ADA-equipped vehicle to the Skyrail Rainforest Cableway. Upon arrival, embark on an unforgettable journey gliding above the ancient tropical rainforest canopy. As you travel through the World Heritage-listed landscape, take in sweeping views of dense greenery, mountain ranges, and glimpses of the Coral Sea, with accessible boarding and viewing areas throughout the experience.

Kuranda Village, Local markets and crafts

After completing the Skyrail journey, rejoin the vehicle for a short transfer of approximately 5 minutes to Kuranda Village. Enjoy free time to explore this picturesque rainforest village at your own pace, browsing local markets, discovering handmade crafts, or simply relaxing and soaking in the laid-back atmosphere along the flat, accessible pathways.

At the conclusion of your visit, board the vehicle for the return drive of approximately 45 minutes back to the pier in Cairns, completing a seamless and enjoyable ADA-friendly excursion.

Please Note: This tour involves a minimal amount of walking, with distances entirely at guests’ discretion, though approximately 0.4 miles (0.6 km) is recommended to experience Kuranda Village comfortably; it is fully wheelchair accessible with space for one wheelchair per vehicle, and foldable wheelchairs or small electric scooters are accepted. The tour includes several short scenic drives, the longest being about 45 minutes each way; Skyrail operations are weather-dependent and the tour does not operate on Christmas Day; no food or beverages are included; photography is permitted throughout the tour.
