Excursion World cruise collection: selous fly scenic safari tour at Dar es Salaam

On this limited participation World Cruise Collection tour especially designed for our World Cruise Guests, they are afforded the exciting opportunity of taking part in a true wildlife viewing experience.

Depart from the pier and transfer to Dar Es Salaam Airport, where you will board a light aircraft for your 45-minute flight to the Selous Game Reserve. Take in the spectacular aerial views of the Tanzanian countryside en-route.

Upon arrival, you will be met by a local safari guide. Board a 4-wheel drive safari vehicle and enjoy the thrill of observing wildlife in their natural habitat. Selous is regarded as one of Africa's largest game reserves, and during the game drive, some of the animals you may see include elephants, lions, Cape buffalo, hippopotamus and a large variety of birds. All vehicles feature an open hatch, allowing for easy viewing.

Enjoy game viewing in this vast wilderness, before stopping at picnic site for a barbecue bush lunch and use of washroom. Continue with your game drive in the Selous. In the late afternoon, you will be dropped off at the airstrip for your return flight back to Dar Es Salaam. Upon arrival at the airport, you will be met and transferred back to the ship.

Please note: This World Cruise Collection tour requires a moderate amount of activity of approximately 200 mt. walking, with a few steps to negotiate to embark/disembark the 4x4 vehicle and airplane. This tour is not suitable for guests with limited mobility or those who utilise a wheelchair. Lightweight, comfortable clothing, flat, closed-toe walking shoes and sun protection are recommended. Operation of this tour is subject to weather conditions and the aircraft has no-air conditioning. Space on this tour is extremely limited; we suggest you book well in advance to avoid disappointment. Although space on this tour is very limited a minimum number of participants is required to operate at the published rate. Guests must provide their weight to the on board team prior to departure.
