Zadar’s Old Town has been occupied since prehistoric times, with origins dating back to the Neolithic era and later thriving as the Roman city known as Jadera. This walking tour commences at the pier and progresses into the historic core of the peninsula. Notable attractions include the Romanesque Cathedral of St. Anastasia, the iconic Church of St. Donatus, and the Church of St. Mary, which houses an impressive collection of religious artifacts. The experience wraps up with a tasting of Maraschino liqueur, Zadar’s signature beverage, made from local Marasca cherries and enjoyed for almost 400 years.

Please note: A moderate amount of walking and standing for approximately 2.5 km (1.5 miles). At times over uneven surfaces and cobblestone streets in the old town, with 40 steps at St. Mary Convent as well as some stairs at the Cathedral and wine tasting venue.
